4. Accounts
4.1 You must give accurate details when registering and keep them current.

5.3 Access to a Course begins only after we confirm your payment. Fees are charged per Course.
5.4 We may change fees, Course content, schedules or teachers at any time. A price change does not affect a Course you have already paid for.

6.2 If you have not accessed any lesson, you may request a refund within 7 days of payment by writing to kashyapsau1@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 98730 45248. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 7–10 working days.
6.3 If we cancel a Course before it starts, we will refund the fee in full.
6.4 No refund is due if your account is suspended or terminated for breach of these Terms.
7. Licence to use the Content
7.1 On payment, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to view the purchased Course on the Platform, for your own private and non-commercial learning, for as long as the Platform offers that Course.
7.2 This licence is not a sale. You do not acquire ownership of any Content. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us and our licensors.
7.3 The licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
8.1 The Platform and all Content, including original lessons, translations, transliterations, commentaries, explanations, course outlines, sequencing of topics, learning paths, assessments, website design and source code, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and other applicable laws.
8.2 "Takshila Gurukul", "तक्षशिला गुरुकुल", our logo, taglines and the domain takshilagurukul.org identify us. You may not use them, or any confusingly similar name, logo or domain, without our prior written consent.
8.3 The ancient scriptures themselves are part of humanity's shared heritage. Our rights cover our own selection, arrangement, translation, explanation, presentation and teaching materials, and the rights of the publishers whose editions we use with permission.
9. Prohibited use
You must not, directly or through anyone else:
- Copy, download, screen-record, screenshot, photograph, print, scrape or otherwise reproduce any paid Content, except where we provide a download feature for your personal use.
- Share, upload, post, sell, rent, broadcast or distribute Content on any website, app, social media, messaging group (including WhatsApp and Telegram), course marketplace or physical class.

- Translate, adapt, summarise for publication, or create derivative works from the Content.
- Use bots, scrapers, crawlers or automated tools to access or extract Content, or use any Content to train or fine-tune artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
- Remove or alter any watermark, copyright notice or user identifier embedded in Content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to access the source code, databases or non-public areas of the Platform.
- Misrepresent yourself as a teacher, partner, franchisee or representative of Takshila Gurukul.
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to post content that is offensive, defamatory or hurtful to religious sentiments.
10. Watermarking and monitoring
10.1 Content may carry visible or invisible watermarks that identify the account it was delivered to. If Content is found outside the Platform, we may trace it to the account and act under Sections 12 and 18.
10.2 We may monitor use to detect breaches of these Terms.
11. Confidentiality
Unpublished course plans, pricing models, partner discussions and teacher materials that you receive as a Student, teacher, volunteer, partner or institution are our confidential information. You must not disclose or use them for any purpose other than your participation on the Platform, during your use and for 3 years afterwards.
12. Misuse of paid Content
Unauthorised copying or distribution of paid Content causes us loss. If you breach items 1, 2 or 3 of Section 9, we may claim compensation for that loss, seek an injunction and use any other remedy available under law.
13. Library materials and third-party works
13.1 Some Library Materials are editions, translations or commentaries owned by third-party publishers. They remain the property of their owners.
13.2 If you believe any material on the Platform infringes your rights, write to kashyapsau1@gmail.com with the work, the page address and proof of ownership. We will review it and, where appropriate, remove it within 36 hours of a valid notice.

14.2 You must not post content that infringes others' rights, is abusive, or disrespects any faith, tradition or community.
15. Disclaimers
15.1 Content is provided for educational, cultural and spiritual learning. It is not medical, legal, financial, astrological or psychological advice. Practices such as yoga, prāṇāyāma, fasting or rituals are undertaken at your own risk; consult a qualified professional where relevant.
15.2 Interpretations of scriptures differ between traditions and scholars. Our teachings represent our understanding and are not the only valid view.
15.3 Takshila Gurukul is an online learning platform. It is not a university recognised by the UGC or any statutory body, and any certificate we issue is a certificate of course completion only, not a degree or diploma.
15.4 The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
16. Limitation of liability
16.1 To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill.
16.2 Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the Course giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Takshila Gurukul, its owners, teachers and staff against any loss, claim or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of Content, or your infringement of any third-party right.
18. Suspension and termination
18.1 We may suspend or terminate your account, without refund, if you breach these Terms, especially Sections 4, 9 or 11.
18.2 You may close your account at any time by writing to kashyapsau1@gmail.com.
18.3 Sections 8, 9, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20 survive termination.

20.2 If a dispute is not resolved, it may be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, in English.
20.3 Nothing in this Section stops us from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a court to protect our intellectual property or confidential information.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after that date means you accept the changes.
22. General
22.1 If any provision is held invalid, the rest remain in force. 22.2 Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. 22.3 You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours to an affiliate or successor. 22.4 These Terms are written in English; any Hindi translation is for convenience, and the English version prevails if they differ.
