श्री नारायण कवच
Nārāyaṇa Kavaca
Nārāyaṇa Kavaca
The Nārāyaṇa Kavaca, the "armour of Nārāyaṇa", appears in the sixth skandha of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam. When Indra and the devas sought protection, the sage Viśvarūpa taught them this prayer, through which they regained their strength. The kavaca invokes Viṣṇu's many forms and weapons to guard the devotee in every direction and circumstance, preceded by rites of nyāsa. This course explores its narrative context, the meaning of each invocation and the traditional method of recitation.
